We are an enthusiastic group with a growing membership of all ages and experience who share an interest in textiles and a desire to keep the crafts of spinning weaving and dyeing alive by encouraging others to join in.
The Guild exists to provide a sociable environment for members to practice their skills, learn new techniques and pass
them on to interested beginners.
We hold twice-monthly informal meetings, with occasional talks by visiting speakers, practical demonstrations and workshops, during which, many aspects of our crafts (including feltmaking, knitting, crochet and braiding) are taught and ideas and information exchanged.
During the summer months, we are regularly requested to demonstrate our skills to the public at various agricultural shows and craft fairs held throughout the region, not only attracting new members to our guild but also allowing us to sell items of our completed work.
A well-stocked library is available to all members and equipment can also be borrowed, making it easy to take the first steps towards developing new skills.
We are a member of the Association of Guilds of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers, which has over 100 Guilds, mostly from the UK.

We welcome beginners and experienced weavers, spinners and dyers to our meetings at Fornham St Martin Village Hall.
The annual membership subscription, payable in October 2023, is £ 30 (a small proportion of which goes towards Association fees)
Non-members are also welcome to attend for a maximum of two visits, with a nominal charge of £ 3 per visit
